The day was our first chance to run a competition at Mallusk in a long time and the weather was actually suitable for flying even if grey and overcast. Four souls turned up to contest The Area Open Electric armed with two Introductions, an Inside and an extended wing Aggressor. The first pairing went up to find average air and a little sink in places, bumps of rising air being few. As the second pairing began their flight in similar conditions Bill found his model to be way out of trim. He had just got the Aggressor tamed when he lost orientation and the model underwent a rapid unscheduled disassembly, very sad. Bill then took on the role of score keeper. The competition continued in steady conditions with ‘doing as little controlling as possible’ being the best tactic. Eventually Paul ran out as the winner after three rounds
