The day began with wonderful weather, blue skies and a gentle breeze. Two competitions were flown, a three round Pures competition followed by five rounds of 2m electric which allowed for a discard. Six of us got off to an early start though little lift was found at first. In the second round Sam found the elusive lift leaving everyone a long way behind. The final round showed how fickle the lift was with short flight times. Paul won through consistent scoring.
Lift was hard to find at first in the electric competition but after the first round someone always managed to put in a 6, 7or 8 minutes flight. In the final round Sam gave a masterclass in finding lift low down and working it to incredible height. Sam flew away to a fine victory, well done Sam!
