PuRES 27 July 2025

We gathered early at Mallusk on a grey morning with a steady breeze across the field.  The task was the usual eight minutes flight time with bonus points for the landing circle which was awkwardly positioned. By 9.00am the first flights were being made in what seemed like poor conditions though the CD found the only lift to the slot to record a time one second short of eight minutes. Thereafter flight times varied between three and six minutes as the sky gradually brightened. At one point Keith allowed his model to enjoy a free flight launch with model arcing gracefully across the sky until, with the model travelling straight down still attached to the line, he decided to utilise his tx to take control and safely land the model for a relaunch.  At the end the scores were added up, without a discard, to show Sam a clear winner. In all, 25 flights were made in the window allotted to us which we used to the full.
