The day was the first chance to hold a competition in two months, so we took it. The weather was grey and overcast with no clear signs of where lift might be. Six of us assembled but sadly Nigel’s model refused to play. Andrew went straight out from the launch point, found the lift and flew a perfect max. The other competitors failed to match him. In the second round the rain arrived but most of us found the lift and so the results were tied. Almost everyone wanted to go home at that point but the mad CD demanded that a third round be flown to decide the competition. As the round progressed rain got heavier and as the last model landed we retreated to the shelter of the cars. A quick calculation showed that Andrew was the winner for another year. Well done Andrew.
