The weather was just about kind to the flyers who assembled to contest the Electric Plate Trophy. Heavy overcast persisted throughout the contest, but the few drops of drizzle soon disappeared and the models began to launch for the first of five rounds, (allowing one discard in yellow). The lift was light and patchy with few long flights, no-one managing a full eight minutes. Greater emphasis was placed on spot landings because of this though 10% of flights missed out on the extra points. In the final round David was scratching for lift at low level when his model was given a very close inspection by a crow but the model survived unscathed to score 1000 points. The scores were closely grouped but Sam came through to win again. Well done Sam!
